A SAFE SPACE TO TALK & BE HEARD
Strength doesn’t have to mean pushing your problems aside or managing everything on your own. Counselling offers a supportive space to slow down, make sense of your thoughts, and process complicated feelings with the understanding support of a trained professional.
Talking openly in a confidential and non-judgemental setting can help bring clarity, relief, and a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences. Therapy is a place where you can explore what’s going on for you, at your own pace.
Sessions are available online and face-to-face in Hebden Bridge, offering flexibility and accessibility depending on your needs.
Counselling That Focuses on Connection,
Recovery, and Understanding.
The counselling I offer is grounded in relational theory, with a strong emphasis on the collaborative relationship between therapist and client. I believe personal growth and healing happen through genuine interpersonal connection, where you feel heard, respected, and supported.
Therapy can be short-term and goal-focused, helping you work through a specific issue, understand thought patterns, and explore changes in behaviour. It can also be longer-term, taking a psychotherapeutic approach that supports deeper emotional insight through exploration of past and present experiences.
Our early life experiences and relationships often shape how we think, feel, and relate to others in the present. Taking time to understand these patterns can help make sense of current difficulties and open up new ways of responding to life.
I offer integrated counselling, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to support your individual needs.
I work with a range of presenting issues, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, attachment, and relationship difficulties. I also have experience supporting individuals affected by addiction and recovery, including substance use, alcohol dependency, and the emotional impact addiction can have on individuals and their relationships. I specialise in grief and loss, supporting people through bereavement and other significant life changes.
Whatever you are facing, counselling can help you gain perspective, build resilience, and move forward with greater understanding and self-acceptance.
